Braised Collard Greens

Serves 4


  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • turkey bacon – 2 slice
  • 2 lb collard greens
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 tsp salt


  • Preheat pot to medium high heat
  • Add turkey bacon to the pot and allow to cook until it begins to crisp
  • Add collard greens to the pot and stir well to evenly coat with the oil and bacon
  • Add stock and vinegar to the greens and allow to cook until greens are just cooked.

Note: Greens should still have a crunch to them
