Probiotics

Probiotics are naturally occurring “good” bacteria that live in our gastrointestinal tracts. The medical community is learning more about the important role that probiotics and gut health plays in our digestion, immunity and production of some vitamins. After surgery or the use of antibiotics, this sensitive balance of good bacteria can be altered allowing the “bad” bacteria to take over. But probiotics from foods and supplements can play a role in helping restore this balance.
