Health Plan Cut

The decision was made to eliminate coverage for bariatric surgery from the state health benefit plan. On February 16, The House of Health and Human Services committee heard about the benefits of bariatric surgery. Testimonies came from patients who have benefited as well as from doctors and advocates. Advocates urged state law makers to continue to cover bariatric surgery in the state health benefit plan.
