A new preliminary study shows that there may be a link between the exceptional weight loss a patient experiences after bariatric surgery and improved memory. This study was published in the journal: Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases. The study essentially suggests that obese people undergoing bariatric surgery improved their memory three months after the procedure versus those who did not undergo the procedure.
