Minimally Invasive Surgery
Here at Peachtree Surgical & Bariatrics, we have been performing minimally invasive procedures since the technique was first introduced to the American public. As pioneers in minimally invasive surgery, we have performed over 5000 procedures with excellent outcomes and patient satisfaction. Our team of dedicated professionals has the experience and knowledge to make your surgical experience as smooth as possible.
As part of our continual dedication to the advancement of patient care through technology we are now able to offer OverStitchTM endoscopic suturing. This new stitching system allows for our surgeons to mimic hand deployed stitches with only one hand and even greater precision. It reduces the size of the opening between your pouch and your small bowel, and helps most patients lose a significant of the amount of weight that they may have regained.
Following are some of the many minimally invasive surgical procedures we perform every day:
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
A cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gallbladder. Using advanced laparoscopic technology; it is now possible to remove the gallbladder through a tiny incision at the navel. Read more about Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.
Laparoscopic Hernia Repair
One of the most common procedures we perform is laparoscopic inguinal and incisional hernia repair. A hernia is a defect in the abdominal wall that allows contents from inside your abdominal cavity such as intestine, to slip out and protrude through the opening.
